Architect — Funchal, Madeira

What you'll do

• Design residential projects from concept to execution drawings.
• Sign projects as the registered author — your cédula, your name, your work.
• Carry projects through licensing: PDM, municipal review, the local rules.
• Work daily with our civil engineer, builders, and interior specialists in one file.
• Specify materials and details to a quiet-luxury standard — the junction, the light, the proportion.

What we're looking for

Required:

• Active registration with the Ordem dos Arquitetos — you must be able to sign projects in Portugal.
• Knowledge of the Madeira planning system, or the ability to learn it fast.
• You design buildings that work in real life: warm in winter, ventilated, built for how people live.
• Fluent working English; Portuguese for the licensing process.
• You accept that some of our clients want to use their own architect.

Nice to have:

• Built residential work you can show.
• Experience with modern design tools and digital licensing workflows.

How we work together

Full-time or part-time employment — or, if you run your own studio, B2B cooperation per project. Under B2B you keep your studio, your methods, and your other clients; we agree on scope, deliverables, and deadlines. The projects come to you: no client hunting.
